Aces And Vols In Do Or Die Game 3

Tennessee Baseball's Super Regional Fate Hangs in the Balance

Aces and Vols in Do-or-Die Game 3

Knoxville, Tenn ---

As the sun dips below the horizon over Lindsey Nelson Stadium, the Tennessee Volunteers and the Evansville Aces are locked in a fierce battle for a spot in the College World Series. The Vols, the No. 2 team in the nation, enter the game with a 1-1 record in the Knoxville Super Regional, while the Aces, the No. 16 seed, have fought their way to within one game of the greatest upset in program history.

The Aces have proven to be a formidable opponent, taking game one of the series in extra innings. The Vols battled back in game two, winning 12-1 to force a decisive game three.

With a loaded lineup featuring All-American shortstop Liam Spence, the Vols are confident they can punch their ticket to Omaha. However, the Aces have shown they have the pitching to hang with any team in the country. Ace right-hander Trevor Hansen will take the mound for Evansville, looking to make history.

The game is set to begin at 6 p.m. ET on ESPNU. The winner will advance to the College World Series, while the loser will see their season come to an end.
